NCOF show

We are less than 1 week away from one of the biggest direct marketing trade shows. We hope you will be able to join us in Chicago, IL, at the National Conference on Operations & Fulfillment (NCOF). The show, devoted to managing the operations of a direct marketing company, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago from April 19-21.

If you are interested in attending, please call or email Terno for exhibit halls passes.

More information is available at www.ncof.com

Stop by booth # 527 to find out what Terno can do for you.

ACC show

We will also be in Chicago again in a few weeks for the Annual Catalog Conference (ACC). This year’s show will be held at McCormick Place on May 3-5. This show is different from the NCOF as it is geared towards the marketing, creative, and database analysis portion of a catalog business.

We also have exhibit halls passes available for those who are interested.  Call or email Terno to have passes sent to you.

More information is available at www.catalogconference.com

Stop by booth # 960 to visit the Terno team.

User Group

We are always focused on meeting the needs of our clients. As we plan the 2004 User Group Meeting, we need your opinions on what you would like to see. This meeting is for our clients and we want to plan it accordingly.

We have created an online survey to get your opinions on dates and topics. We have dates in July or August that are available for your choosing as well as topics that you may find appealing.

Please take a few minutes of your time to complete the survey.

Terno Marketing Tip

With changes in web programming and browsers, your web site visitors may not be seeing the same pages you think they are.  Each browser behaves a little differently and it is important to test your site to find out if it is displaying properly.  A web resource that can be used to do this is www.browsercam.com.  This is a fee based service but a free trial offer is available to those who register.  You may be surprised at the results!

TCL tips

  • To find out which ports users are logged onto, simply type LISTU at a TCL prompt.
  • The "BY" command is used to sort a list by an attribute field.  Moreover, the "BY-DSND" command specifies your results are to be placed in descending order.  This can be used only with the SORT or SSELECT command.
An example of using "BY" would be:  SORT CUST BY ZIP NAME CITY STATE ZIP.  This command would sort the customer records by the zip code in ascending order displaying the name, city, state, and zip fields.  The BY-DSND can be used to reverse the display order.
